Riccardo Tisci presented his men’s collection for Givenchy in a mystical, poetic setting, with a tent erected on the esplanade des Invalides and a floor studded with red sequins. The designer revisited the traditional suit, embellished with a buttoned-waist skirt, a recurring leitmotif and available in tennis stripes or black with red trim. These streamlined silhouettes exude power. With their hair slicked back or braided, their faces covered in sequins, the men’s and women’s models move forward with firm steps. Kilim rug motifs litter the catwalk, and are found on many of the costumes. All the basics of the men’s wardrobe, but stylized by the designer. The finale is rich in embroidery for suits with a couture spirit.
