Monoprix Gourmet is one of the brand’s major innovations. Launched in 1986, the range is a blend of traditional know-how and gourmet innovation.
In order to offer quality products, Monoprix gourmet is committed to making a careful selection according to several criteria, including know-how: highlighting producers who favor traditional regional products close to the soil, and innovation: the brand offers new recipes and flavors such as pink Himalayan salt, one of the brand’s new products.
We had the privilege of discovering this range in the restaurant of talented young chef David Toutain, who has worked in the kitchens of Alain Passard among others, and who created an original menu using Monoprix Gourmet products for the occasion.
Between the multiple selections of breads and cheeses we were able to discover in Amuse bouche :
A beef and raspberry carpaccio made with hazelnut virgin oil and parmesan.
Peas and hogweed with trout roe
We then move on to the main courses, with the chef’s signature dish: egg, corn and cumin.
then the Monop’ mini burger with mozzarella, exquisite vinegar, sun-dried tomatoes, pesto alla genovese and spiced up with herb mustard
Here’s the risotto made with arrobio rice, imported from Italy, Lomo and pesto.
A pre-dessert of small slices of mille feuilles, marshmallows and macaroons.
The chocolate moelleux, made with dark chocolate from Saint-Dominique, accompanied by banana-parsley nectar ice cream, is the sweet finish to this tasting experience.
The wine list offers a good selection of quality wines at affordable prices.
