ZUHAIR MURAD READY-TO-WEAR Fall-Winter 2013

GOTHIC RENAISSANCE

Half angel, half demon, mistress woman but touched by grace…: For winter, Zuhair Murad’s new muse has the spirit of contradiction, a dual personality haloed by… devilishly gothic chic. Between the power of decision and the power of seduction, she chooses both.

Show and cold. Blows of transparency and boudoir accents sow confusion throughout resolutely determined looks: architectural sheath dress but crossed with tulle or caressed with guipure, masculine tuxedo pants but highlighted with a lace ru-ban, clean lines but open on a lingerie corset, energetic drape but topped with a tattoo-fine bodysuit… Worn nude, the silhouette cultivates the most charismatic chiaroscuro effects everywhere.

Strength and splendor. In duos and even duels, materials form the most sensual of bodies and contrasts: leather and lace, velvet and tulle, brocade and stretch, but also gui-pure, macramé and satin, jacquard and sequins, airy chiffon and floral intensity… From one extreme to the other, the approach is high-profile and sophisticated, contemporary multi-faceted luxury at its most eternal.

Light and shade. Bright, graphic glamourama… Decors, motifs and colors set the most romantic tone: black and white in poetically variable geometry, dazzling red, dark burgundy, wilful stripes and polka dots, glittering chandeliers with rock accents, flamboyant floral embraces inspired by the paintings of Jan Van Eyck… The atmosphere is filled with radiant memories and gothic echoes.
