During London Fashion Week, if there’s one show that’s eagerly awaited more than any other, it’s Burberry Prorsum. Always at the cutting edge of technology, the emblematic English brand still offers Internet users the option of livestreaming to feel like they’re in the front row. These developments are becoming commonplace, but there’s nothing like being in the audience at a fashion show, if only to get a feel for the materials and the electric atmosphere.
For Spring-Summer 2015, Christopher Bailey, head of artistic direction, has imagined some forty silhouettes that all have one thing in common: the bob. No, it’s obviously not the bob you wore as a child camping in Palavas-Les-Flots to protect you from the sun’s rays. The Burberry Prorsum bob is much more than that, it’s an ode to style, which, on the face of it, looks like it’s made of felt, and comes in highly desirable colors.
Sneakers, again and again, are invading both men’s and women’s dressing rooms, or vice versa. You wanted a bag, well you’ll choose the best of maxi sizes, unless you’re more into clutches. We also love the bow detail around the waist.
This show was undoubtedly one of the designer’s most successful menswear collections for Burberry Prorsum. Well done!
