Alexis Mabille Couture Spring/Summer 2013

Alexis Mabille, on the strength of his first couture show as an official member of the Paris couture federation, imagines for his Spring/Summer collection outfits worthy of a fairytale princess’s wardrobe.

The setting for the show, in itself, is enchanting. Candy pink and flowers, it’s a Marie-Antoinette revisited by the woman at Alexis Mabille Couture for Spring/Summer 2013.

Definitely girly and dramatic, this collection features incredible volumes of tulle overlays, rhinestones galore and floral embroidery for extravagant, spectacular outfits.

Alexis Mabille doesn’t go for half-measures: micro-skirts or floor-lengths, it’s all about statement and demonstration. Of course, it wouldn’t be Mabille if his signature bows weren’t present, and we find them incorporated into the dresses at the shoulders.

Pastels and vivid colors intermingle in this princess ball proposed by the designer in a whirlwind of ultra-feminine, baroque structures.
