Boucheron Serpent Bohème

Emblematic of the House, the Serpent Bohème collection is a signature of the Boucheron spirit.

In 1888, on the eve of one of his many trips around the world, Frédéric Boucheron gave his wife Gabrielle a necklace in the shape of a snake, a token of love, protection and happiness.

In 1968, the first Serpent line came to life and never left the Maison’s collections.

The Serpent Bohème collection, which includes some twenty pieces – rings, bracelets, pendants, sautoirs, chips and earrings, and watches – is the natural continuation of this story.

It is a tribute to Gabrielle Boucheron, a woman of character and spirit.

It features the iconic snake motif so dear to the House and a symbol of eternal happiness for all Boucheron women.

It celebrates the bohemian lifestyle, featuring jewelry that crosses time and borders, like Frédéric Boucheron and his many expeditions.

If the Serpent Bohème collection is a lucky charm, it’s also because the snake has embodied extremely positive symbolism from the greatest ancient civilizations to the present day.

It shines with hyper-femininity. Like all Boucheron creations, it captures the light and sublimates the material.

Today, the icon of the past is revived in an unexpectedly contemporary way with Serpent Bohème.

A timeless collection

Boucheron’s signature Serpent Bohème collection is timeless and universal in spirit. Defying time and place, it stands out for its incredible unity of codes, spirit and tone, between classicism and freedom.

A subtle reinterpretation of classic codes dear to the House.

The drop is the Ariadne’s thread for this collection.

This ancestral motif is here not a drop of water, but an allegory of the serpent’s head. Very feminine in form, it is also feminine in the harmonious pavement of diamonds crowned by gold beads.

The delicate honeycomb pattern allows light to pass through, intensifying the brilliance of the diamonds.

This aesthetic, so dear to Serpent Bohème , reveals the art of the jeweller, as distinct from the work of a jeweller. In addition to providing a perfect hold for the motif and magnifying the stones with an openwork structure, honeycomb is a true technical feat.

Numerous drawings from the Maison’s archives highlight this goldsmith’s work and the finesse of the gold beads.

Another nugget: twisted chain.

This emblematic Maison chain goes perfectly with the Serpent Bohème motif. It has been used on numerous occasions for Maison creations, both necklaces and bracelets.

But here Boucheron has chosen to develop it in a very thin diameter. It thus takes on a contemporary character, while remaining true to its precious, slightly old-fashioned spirit and to Boucheron’s jewelry expertise.
