THIS WINTER, THE PAPILLIES TAKE TO THE HEIGHTS
From October 23, 2012 to January 31, 2013, Mandarin Oriental, Munich is once again opening the doors to its ephemeral rooftop restaurant.

Paris, October 2012 – Building on the success of previous years, Mandarin Oriental, Munich announces the reopening of The Alm, its ephemeral chalet-restaurant perched on the rooftop. A veritable high-altitude refuge in the heart of the city, The Alm will allow guests to enjoy traditional Bavarian cuisine in a convivial atmosphere, while admiring the unique panorama of Munich’s rooftops and the Alps, as well as the emblematic Frauenkirche church.

The à la carte menu features a generous three-course meal at 54 Euros per person, including local specialties such as a Bavarian platter or Viennese-style organic chicken, washed down with Schladerer schnapps, a cherry brandy, served by a team in traditional Bavarian dress.

The Alm restaurant will be open from October 23, 2012 to January 31, 2013 from Monday to Friday for dinner (5 pm to 10 pm) and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 10 pm. Reservations are recommended.

The restaurant’s unique setting also makes it an ideal venue for receptions. With a capacity of 65 people, the chalet can be privatized for lunch or dinner.
