EXPLOSION AT THE MUSEE EN HERBE

Last Tuesday saw the opening of the Jef Aérosol et Swing exhibition at the Musée en Herbe. In the wake of the exhibition “Les Hiéroglyphes de Keith Haring”, more than half a dozen street artists and their godchildren have already invaded the museum floor.
Among them Jean Faucher, Jérôme Mesnager and Rero have already passed the baton to present their work and run workshops with children. In keeping with the Ma Première Galerie concept, established artists will be exhibiting alongside younger artists presenting their work for the first time.
Jef Aérosol is a street art pioneer from the early 80s. For almost thirty years, he has been cutting and spray-painting stencils in the likeness of Elvis Presley, Gandhi and Basquiat, among others, but most of his work pays homage to anonymous street people. His portraits are scattered all over the world, from New York to Lisbon, via Rome and Lille, where he now lives and works.
