Last night in Berlin, the Montblanc Prize 2011 was awarded at the Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt. The prize is awarded to a talented young musician. This year it was the young Armenian violinist Sergey Khachatryan, who received a cheque for €10,000 and a unique Montblanc Donation Pen Arturo Toscanini from Montblanc CEO Lutz Betghe.
During the awards ceremony, the Philharmonie des Nations under the direction of Justus Franz delighted the happy few, including the lovely Teri Hatcher, who wore a necklace and 4810 earrings in yellow gold for the occasion, and Sarah Marshall in the front row with Jean-Claude Jitrois.
