iPod Shuffle
Here we are! Apple held a conference this Wednesday, September 1, and not the least because the entire iPod range has been renewed! Let’s start with the little iPod Shuffle babies, with a retro design to say the least! These take the design of the iPod shuffle 2G, shrink it down and add new buttons, VoiceOver (the iPod announces the music), 2GB capacity, 15-hour battery life and the famous hook for hanging it on your clothes! From €59.
Voici le nouvel iPod Nano…
Pretty cool, eh? As you can see, the new design incorporates a touch screen, radio and the option of clipping it anywhere like the Shuffle, and eventurning it into a watch! From €169.
iPod Touch
Then comes the big iPod Touch. This one incorporates all the features of the iPhone 4 (except for the phone, which is a bit of a stretch 🙂 ), i.e.retina display, Apple A4 processor, 3-axis gyroscope, iOS 4.1 with Game Center front-facing camera with FaceTime and HD camera on the back – in short, it’s all good stuff! From 239€.
iTunes 10 - Ping
Then there’s iTunes 10 , with its new icon (which, it has to be said, looked a little old-fashioned in the long run)
. The main new feature is a Social Network. ” Ping” will be Apple’s Facebook for music. Starting…free! 🙂
Apple TV
Last but not least, theApple TV. After stirring up the web with its wild rumors, it’s finally official.
It will be a platform for renting HD films and series, which you will of course connect to your TV (via HDMI). Rental prices should be pretty cheap, with TV series at $0.99 ad-free and movies at $4.99 (prices will drop according to the age of the film).
In addition to this feature, the Apple TV will be able to share content (photos, music and movies) with iPads, iPhones and iPod Touch, thanks to the Airlplay function. Start a movie on your iPad, and as soon as you want to switch to the big screen, press the Airplay button, and you continue your movie on your magnificent Bravia Full HD 3D, pretty nice huh?! Only 119€ more!
There’s so much new, it makes you want to push open the door of an Apple Store…
