CELEBRITY MAKEUP ARTIST BEAU NELSON CREATED A LOOK FOR KATE BOSWORTH USING CHANTECAILLE PRODUCTS FOR THE MET GALA
For the 2018 Met Gala “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”, Beau Nelson created a glowy, feminine look for Kate Bosworth using Chantecaille products. Beau was inspired by the Byzantine paintings of the Eastern Roman Empire. He wanted Kate’s beauty to mimic the pure, monochrome style of that era. “I would describe this look as monochromatic. The color palette consists of nude pink, taupe pink and a soft beige pink.” – Beau Nelson
SKIN
1. To prep the skin, Beau applied the brand-new Gold Recovery Mask (in France Autumn 2018) to Kate’s face and neck to revitalize and refresh her skin. He then applied Gold Energizing Eye Recovery Masks to illuminate and rejuvenate the eye area. 2. For long-lasting hydration and natural radiance, Beau blended Mai visage’s Rose oil with the soothing emulsion of Magnolia, Jasmine and Lily.
FACE 1. For a natural base that perfectly matches Kate’s shade, Beau combined the Ivory and Alabaster shades of Future Skin foundation. 2. To set the base and prepare the skin for high-definition cameras, Beau applied HD Perfecting Powder, starting in the center of Kate’s face. 3. Next, he applied Cheek Gelée’s “Happy” shade to Kate’s cheeks, followed by Philanthropy blush in Laughter, a warm peachy pink. This blush is adorned with coral and proceeds go to the Marine Conservatory Biology Institute. 4. Beau illuminated the highlights of Kate’s face with the L’Arbre Illuminé Palette.
EYES 1. For the eyes, Beau used Lasting Eye Shade in Coriandre on Kate’s eyelids. 2. Then, in the crease of the eyelid, he applied Mermaid Eye Matte Elephant, followed by Mermaid Eye Matte Lion in the inner corner of the eye. 3 For perfectly defined eyebrows, he used Waterproof Brow Definer in Ash Blonde. 4 To perfect the look, he applied Faux cils Longest Lash mascara to thicken and lengthen Kate’s lashes.
LEVRES 1. Beau outlined Kate’s lips with Lip Defininer in “Natural”, a long-lasting pink-beige shade. 2. For perfect nude pink lips, he combined Matte Chic “Marisa”, a petal pink, with Matte Chic “Suzy”, a glamorous nude pink. 3. To finish off this radiant look, Beau applied Les Paillettes limited edition Golden Highlighter to Kate’s cupid’s bow.
