Under the expert eye of influential figures from the fashion world, Rami Al Ali presents his Fall-Winter 2015-2016 Couture collection again this season in Paris. For his eighth consecutive presentation in the French capital, the Syrian designer imagines a collection composed of 20 pieces inspired by the 40-50 period, with silhouettes characterized by graphic interpretations of the Art Deco movement. Echoing the timeless elegance of Hollywood’s golden age, fabrics such as duchesse satin and tweeds adorn structured silhouettes with majestic capes and slim cuts that contrast with blurred volumes such as draped skirts in silk chiffon. Signatures of Rami Al Ali’s aesthetic, long silk cascade dresses and short cocktail dresses emphasize feminine forms with pleats that blossom at the hips in a look adopted by Audrey Hepburn.
Lush fabrics revolve around the body, supported by graphic elements with hand-finished work giving the collection a functional yet elegant look, revealing contemporary feminine beauty. Inspired by memories, the score played by the couturier rhythmically blends pastel shades from powder pink to mouse gray, contrasting with beiges and champagnes for a soft color palette.
Through his creations, Rami Al Ali innovates by demonstrating how traditional techniques and iconic figures can be unveiled on the Couture thread.
