Saint Laurent artistic director Hedi Slimane presented his new Fall/Winter 2015-2016 ready-to-wear collection in Paris on Monday evening.
The Carreau du Temple in Paris played host to the Saint Laurent show entitled “Pretty Boy”. The show opened to rock music and Slimane’s “junky dolls” entered with a determined step. The bad girl spirit was clearly the theme of the show.
The line includes frilly strapless dresses with tulle petticoats, strapless leather jumpsuits, holey tights, strapless tuxedo hangers, leather perfectos, zip-up slim-fit pants, pointed booties, plumetis tops and, of course, colorful fur coats.
The dark make-up, red mouth, black eyes and accessories complete the rock-punk look. The spiked mini bag, studded bondage sandals, leather necklaces and glitter tie add a fetishistic tone. The designer leaves guests breathless and breathes fresh air into the brand.
No doubt we’ll be seeing the show’s looks on the streets next winter.
