A stitch of iron in a velvet glove, that’s how Damir Doma imagined his collection. A blend of classicism and brut for an elegant collection of hyper-worked fabrics. The silhouettes are fluid, the shine responds to the matte and the materials are subtle.
Grunge touches are reinterpreted in luxury, jacquards evoke Gerhard Richter paintings and 90s abstraction. Outfits are sometimes reminiscent of kimonos, officer’s coats and diverted “tapestries” recall the house’s classics. Velvet and wool are worked into a grungy or sporty reinterpretation, giving it a real youthful twist.
The collection thus oscillates between the past and the present, a subtle refinement that reflects today’s woman.
