Louis Vuitton displays its family tree

To mark the publication of the book “Les sacs de ville Louis Vuitton : une histoire naturelle”, designer and scenographer Soline d’Aboville has created an ingenious installation. Through archive documents, illustrations and diagrams, the book and this magical installation tell the story of Louis Vuitton’s creations.

The scenographer revisits the principle of the family tree. Nine Maison bags hang from the branches. In the background, images suggest the history and origins of the creations through rear projection. This installation is made possible by 3D printing processes and a video-mapping device that transforms the trees with a combinatorial sound design.

Soline d’Aboville, a graduate of ENSAD, trained in 2001 in the art of window displays for the Maison Cartier and for 5 years in Louis Vuitton window displays around the world. In 2008, she set up her own ManyMany agency, but continues to work for many luxury brands, including Baccarat, Chanel, Dior and Guerlain.

Discover this magical, fascinating and innovative installation at Maison Louis Vuitton, 101 avenue des Champs Elysées. An exhibition not to be missed!
