After the phenomenal success of the last two editions, Louis Vuitton launches the 3rd season of the Foulards d’Artistes collection. With this summer collection, Louis Vuitton continues to collaborate with the great international figures of Street Art. This season, artists Kenny Scharf, INTI and André each revisit a Louis Vuitton textile in their own way.

Borrowing his name from the Inca sun god, INTI draws his inspiration from Andean culture. The Chilean-born artist decided to revisit Louis Vuitton’s emblematic giant silk square. He adorns it with a sun, a motif that refers to deities from the Inca pantheon. The designer uses warm, golden and orange hues. This street artist has already exhibited in galleries around the world. He is known for his pronounced taste for color and his use of iconographic symbols from all over South America.

A second artist revisits the giant Louis Vuitton silk scarf: Californian artist Kenny Scharf. This painter and sculptor covers the scarf with a colorful collage. The collage blends astronomical motifs with pop culture symbols. All set against a fuzzy psychedelic background. For over 30 years, the artist has taken an original approach to art. His aim: to transcend the elitist boundaries of the fine arts and reconnect with popular culture.

Finally, André takes on the Louis Vuitton Monogram shawl. He uses the scarf’s backdrop as a tarpaulin in his studio. Once the paint sprays have been removed, the shawl becomes a natural habitat for Monsieur A. This blue character with asymmetrical eyes is the artist’s signature. This André scarf will be available as a preview at Louis Vuitton’s Champs-Elysées store from February 13, two weeks before the worldwide release of the collection.

Alongside these three collaborations, Louis Vuitton unveils several new models from its Spring-Summer 2014 season. Scarves that revisit leopard and colorful stripes.

This 3rd season of Foulards d’Artistes is sparkling and colorful. Elegant, original creations that are easy to wear all year round.
