Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme’s Christmas cake at the peak of pleasure

Gourmets that we are, a few days ago we headed for Place Vendome to sample an exceptional cake. This year, Christmas at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme will be gourmet and magical! Pastry Chef Pier-Marie le Moigno has come up with a very special Christmas dessert. A true work of art, the Chef has let his creativity run wild in a cake that will be served individually to break away from the traditional Yule log! The “Let it Snow…” dessert is presented in a snow globe, reminiscent of childhood and the magic of
Noël, and unveils a delicately snow-covered mountain… The cake is so beautiful that we hesitate to eat it. After a few hesitations, we stick our tongs into the cake and are surprised by a palette of unexpected tastes.
A mix of textures and flavors, this Christmas dessert is composed of a caramel mousse with fleur de sel, a lime fruit paste and a dacquoise cookie baked in coconut steam. An unexpected but extremely interesting combination to accompany a glass of champagne.

A sweet, delicate dessert, a pleasure not to be shared, to be enjoyed at the Orchidées and La Cheminée restaurants, on the dessert cart, or to take away to order…

Let it Snow individual Christmas cake: €18
Available from November 25, 2013
