Prada Group: telling Versace’s growth apart from that of the houses

Prada Group reports 15% growth at constant exchange rates over nine months, against 4% organically. Versace explains a significant part of this gap.

The perimeter changes how growth is read. Prada Group reports revenues of 4.541 billion euros over the first nine months of 2026: a 15% increase at constant exchange rates, reduced to 4% organically. The group specifies that this second measure excludes Versace and neutralises currency effects.

Two measures for two questions

Versace contributes 441 million euros over the period. In the third quarter alone, the group’s growth reaches 11% at constant exchange rates and 1% organically. The two rates are therefore not interchangeable: one describes the consolidated whole, the other allows a comparable base, as defined by the company, to be tracked.

In retail, Prada is up 2% over nine months. Miu Miu advances 1%, against a comparison base of +41% a year earlier. These changes are also presented at constant exchange rates.

Size does not sum up momentum

To read an acquisition, one must be able to recognise what it adds to the total without attributing to it the performance of the houses already present. A group’s progress can thus be real while stemming from several mechanisms.

The quarter also invites a measurement of Miu Miu after a period of strong expansion. Slower growth does not, on its own, say anything about the quality of the collections or customer loyalty. The publication makes it possible to separate the scales; it does not replace examination of products, stores and profitability.
