Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils the Reverso Hybris Artistica Caliber 179 Pegasus, a limited edition of five pieces that combines a high complication with rare artisanal crafts.

The timepiece is housed in a 750/1000 rose gold case hand-engraved with a Pegasus, the winged horse of Greek mythology. Each watch requires 180 hours of engraving work, with the design extending onto the Reverso’s convex sides.

The front dial features a two-tiered cloud motif. More than 50 indentations are carved into the rose gold plates before being filled by hand with blue lacquer, applied in several layers. The fully skeletonized back showcases the hand-beveled bridges and tourbillon cage.

The Caliber 179 features a Gyrotourbillon comprising 123 components, with an inner cage rotating 360 degrees every 16 seconds and an outer cage completing one full rotation per minute.

The watch is paired with a blue alligator strap and a rose gold folding clasp that is adjustable to the nearest half-millimeter.
