Disney asks designers to reinterpret their iconic characters

Organized by Disney France, the ” Evil for Good ” operation mobilizes designers around their childhood memories of Disney cartoons to which, for the occasion, they give new life… The works of twenty fashion designers and visual artists will be auctioned to benefit the association La Source, founded by artist Gérard Garouste. The sale will be orchestrated by the Tajan auction house.

For many years now, fashion designers and artists have been reinterpreting some of Disney’s most emblematic characters with their own sensibility. This time, Disney has given them carte blanche to reinterpret not just one character, but an entire universe: that of Good and Evil, the omnipresent and timeless thread running through all Disney creations.

Paul Smith / Chantal Thomass / Christian Louboutin / Christian Lacroix / Véronique Leroy / Anne-Valérie Hash / Martin Grant / Kobi Levi / Gisèle Ganne / Manish Arora / Francis Kurkdjian / Gérard Garouste / Elisabeth Garouste / Speedy Graphito / Laurent Pernot / Martine Aballéa / Virginie Barré / Thierry Dreyfus / Lionel Estève

All have brought to life a personal memory of Good or Evil from a Disney cartoon they saw as children.

Disney France wanted the “Evil for Good” operation to contribute to its vocation of transmission and solidarity with children, which it has already been developing for many years with numerous associations in favor of children.

Here’s the trailer for the exhibition on Youtube.
