The world’s most prestigious luxury automaker today confirmed that it has launched the development program for a new Rolls-Royce, scheduled for launch in mid-2016.

 

Building on the success of the Phantom, Ghost and Wraith models, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars intends to continue shaping the brand’s future by developing a new car that will be the epitome of contemporary aesthetics, grace and sensuality. The new model is a promise of open-air driving in total freedom. The perfect marriage of luxury, style and modern elegance in the purest Rolls-Royce tradition, this new model promises an exhilarating experience behind the wheel of a breathtaking car.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said from Goodwood, Rolls-Royce’s home town in West Sussex, England: “It is with great pleasure that I confirm today the development of our next model, which will write a new chapter in the great history of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. It will be a fascinating and thoroughly contemporary interpretation of the luxury cabriolet, which should inspire even more aesthetes to become Rolls-Royce owners.”

 

Peter Schwarzenbauer, President of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, welcomed the event with these words: “The announcement of a new Rolls-Royce model is always a fertile moment for the automotive industry. The prototype is currently undergoing a rigorous testing program before it can move on to the next stage of development.
