We recently had the opportunity to discover an exciting high jewelry brand: Qeelin. As part of the Haute Couture and Haute Joaillerie presentations, Qeelin presented its latest works in a romantic and charming setting.

In the heart of the Gobi Desert, along the Silk Road, the Dunhuang caves stand out among the world’s treasures, as they are located at a geographical and cultural crossroads between East and West. It was during a visit to these legendary caves in 1997 that Dennis Chan, Qeelin’s Creative Director, became aware of the richness of China’s artistic and craft heritage. He decided to help give a contemporary interpretation and incarnation to this rich heritage, and to share it with the rest of the world. Qeelin was born.

Since then, Dennis Chan and French entrepreneur Guillaume Brochard have joined forces to shape an exceptional brand, blending the mythical essence of Chinese cultural heritage with the excellence of French savoir-faire, embodied in the brilliance of fine, contemporary jewelry.

Launched in Paris in 2004, Qeelin has become an internationally recognized jewelry brand in just a few years, developing a strong identity that can be seen in its boutiques, with their contemporary Chinese aesthetic, and in the style of its collections, which blend Eastern and Western influences.

Wulu, Bo Bo, Qin Qin or Yu Yi, to name but a few, are available in Paris, London, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Taipei, Singapore and Tokyo. All Qeelin collections are made exclusively with precious stones and metals, such as white, yellow and pink gold, platinum, diamonds, sapphires, rubies and, of course, China’s national stone, jade.

These treasures seduced Maggie Cheung, among many others. Awarded Best Actress at the Cannes and Berlin Film Festivals, with her elegant beauty and original personality, she embodies better than any other the fusion of Eastern and Western influences, and was, from the outset, the muse of Qeelin’s Creative Director, Dennis Chan.
