The Centre des monuments nationaux and Tiffany & Co. announce a partnership for the restoration of the Arc de Triomphe

Tiffany & Co, the famous jeweller, is partnering the Centre des monuments nationaux (CMN) to support the restoration and enrichment of cultural mediation at one of France’s most important monuments: the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

Philippe Bélaval, Chairman of the Centre des monuments nationaux is delighted “This commitment supports the public institution’s efforts to promote the most visited monument in its network (nearly 1.8 million visitors in 2013). The Arc is more than just a panoramic view of Paris and the surrounding area: it’s a monument with a complex history, but also a place of remembrance due to the presence of the tomb of the Unknown Soldier from the First World War. Visitors must be able to grasp all these dimensions during their visit.
On the occasion of the signing of this agreement, Marc Jacheet, General Manager France and Benelux, Tiffany & Co.. said: “For over 175 years, Tiffany & Co. has embodied American style and elegance in its jewelry creations. We are very committed to preserving our heritage, and on the occasion of the opening of our new store on the Champs-Elysées, it seemed natural and appropriate to associate our House with the restoration and embellishment of one of the jewels of French architecture”.
