SECOND EDITION OF GIORGIO ARMANI’S “FILMS OF CITY FRAMES” PROJECT, ORGANIZED IN LONDON AND SPONSORED BY HELEN MIRREN
The second edition of the Films of City Frames project was inaugurated a few days ago in London, as part of the 59th BFI London Film Festival. This year, the project will take place under the aegis of Helen Mirren and Roberta Armani.
The screening of the four short films was followed by a round-table discussion moderated by journalist Tim Blanks, with the participation of the project’s special ambassador, Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren, Rai Cinema CEO Paolo Del Brocco, and several students from participating schools: Chris Joys(Clarity from Australia), Tommaso Luigi Bianchi(Midnight from Italy), Juliana Valente Palacio(Legacy from Brazil) and producer Go Eu Kim(I Love You from Korea).
To celebrate this year’s edition, Helen Mirren and Roberta Armani hosted a prestigious dinner on the night of October 11. It was held at 3 Olaf Street, West London. Guests who chose to wear Giorgio Armani (including eyewear from the Frames of Life collection, featured in the short films) included Luca Guadagnino, Topher Grace, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Harry Treadaway, Holliday Grainger, Matthew Beard, Sophie Kennedy Clarke, Clara Paget, Atlanta De Cadenet Taylor and Toby Huntington-Whitely. The evening also included BFI CEO Amanda Nevill among its guests.
With this project, run in partnership with Luxottica and Rai Cinema, Giorgio Armani continues to support emerging talent in various sectors, from fashion to cinema. The schools selected for this second edition of the Films of City Frame project are: Scuola Holden, Turin (Italy), Academia Internacional de Cinema, São Paulo (Brazil), Sydney Film School, Sydney (Australia) and SeoulInstitute of the Arts, Seoul (Korea).
