New elegance at Issey Miyake.New elegance at Issey Miyake. For this winter 2015/16 collection, Yusuke Takahashi chose to dress a more mature, urban man. The suit becomes the central element. The designer is inspired by the work of artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh, whose graphic lines are reflected in the patterns on the jacquard knitwear. Silk chosen directly from workshops in Japan blends with wool, nylon and mohair. Sweaters and cardigans – capes coordinated with loose-fitting pants and Bermuda shorts – show that casual allure is not forgotten. And don’t forget the arty touch with the collaboration of artist Satoshi Fujiwara, whose photos of faces seen up close are printed on a number of bags and shirts.
