English women are celebrated in Topshop Unique’s latest collection. It’s hard not to think of them when you see these big coats and jackets with fur collars and cuffs, with just light floral-print dresses underneath. Always that touch of sensuality and fluidity, like creative director Kate Phelan (also a consultant for English Vogue), a perfect Englishwoman, ready to jump in her car to breathe the fresh country air, dressed in a beige sweater and high-waisted chocolate leather pants or a very sixties check dress… But also always ready to party or attend a cocktail party, in these black velvet dresses embroidered with gold flowers and crystals or studded with ostrich feathers. And don’t forget the charcoal-blue vinyl trench coat and brown velvet dungarees…
