New Porsche 911: A more powerful, faster, digital 8th generation
Presented as a world exclusive at the official opening of the L.A. Autoshow, the new Porsche 911 continues the tradition of setting the absolute benchmark in sportiness.
Faithful to the brand’s emblematic design, but with a much more athletic silhouette and a completely revamped interior featuring a 10.9-inch touchscreen, the new 911 is timeless and resolutely modern. With its intelligent chassis control systems and innovative driver assistance, the eighth-generation 911 brings the classic rear-engined sports car, renowned for its outstanding driving dynamics, fully into the digital age.
Benefiting from the latest technical developments, the new 6-cylinder turbocharged flat-six engines are more powerful than ever. S versions deliver 450 hp (331 kW). Optimization of the fuel injection system and the new configuration of the turbochargers and charge-air cooling system enhance engine efficiency. Transmission is provided by the new 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The new model also features Porsche Wet Mode, a driving mode designed to improve safety on wet roads, night vision assistance with thermal camera, and comprehensive connectivity solutions, using the resources of distributed intelligence.
Three exclusive digital offers complete the Porsche 911’s equipment: the “Porsche Road Trip” app, for exceptional excursions, the “Porsche 360+” personal assistant and the “Porsche Impact” connected program, which calculates CO2 emissions to enable drivers to offset their carbon footprint.
