The Heavenly Cask collection, a tribute to the aging process
This year, Zacapa inaugurates its Heavenly Cask collection:
4 new blends to be released each year in limited editions, designed to reveal the very essence of Zacapa 23. Each version of the “Heavenly Cask” collection pays tribute to one of the casks used in the Zacapa 23 aging process, highlighting the specific flavors and aromas they individually create.
La Doma, a unique rum
The first of these four limited editions, “La Doma”, to be released this spring, is a blend of rums of different ages. Inspired by the first cask that structures the aging process, “La Doma” has been further refined in ex-Bourbon casks. This gives it notes of sugar cane and the tropical dynamism of pineapple and banana.

Conceived and created by Lorena Vasquez, one of the few female cellar masters, “La Doma” rum is a blend of a variety of reserve rums of different ages, each with its own distinct characteristics.

What is Zacapa 23?
Zacapa 23 is the iconic reference from which Zacapa was created. The resulting liquid is a unique blend of rums of different ages. The complex solera aging process imbues this rum with intertwining honey, caramel, spicy oak and dried fruit flavors. These aromas make Zacapa 23 an elegant rum.
