There are journeys that don’t require travel. With “Voyages Immobiles”, diptyque pays tribute to the philosophy of its three founders, who shared the same curiosity about the world.
The exhibition was inaugurated on Tuesday September 14th, as part of the company’s 60th anniversary celebrations, in the Poste du Louvre, recently renovated by architect Dominique Perrault.
Curated by Jérôme Sans, the exhibition presents a series of original installations by nine international artists, revealing a multi-faceted vision of travel, in an itinerary conducive to wandering. Centered on five of diptyque’s favorite ports of call (Paris, Venice, Byblos, Kyoto, Miliès), the works presented offer new readings of travel and create synergies between the artists’ singular universes.
