CHANEL has been awarded, for the 5

After signing its first Haute Horlogerie Calibre: the CALIBRE 1. HEURE SAUTANTE for men in 2016, CHANEL proposed in 2017 the CALIBRE 2. CAMÉLIA SQUELETTE: a delicate movement, which won the DAMES category of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2017.
In 2018, the story continues and CHANEL presents its third in-house movement. This new Calibre 3 highlights the lines and curves of the iconic BOY-FRIEND.
CHANEL presents the BOY∙FRIEND Squelette Calibre 3 watch.
For the first time, the BOY∙FRIEND watch, created in 2015, unveils a Haute Horlogerie skeleton movement, Calibre 3.
After 3 years of development, this 3
th
in-house movement has been designed to look as good upside down as it does right side up.
As if suspended in its octagonal OR BEIGE case, it features a series of intertwined circles aligned vertically. The OR BEIGE mirror-polished bevels emphasize the movement’s relief. The bridges are at the back, highlighting the beating heart of the watch.
The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, which recognizes the excellence of the world’s watchmaking productions, annually rewards the best creations and the most outstanding players in the world of watchmaking.
The watches pre-selected for the GPHG, as well as the prize-winners, take part in a touring exhibition in Seoul, Rome, Geneva and Dubai, enabling an international public to discover and admire the most beautiful timepieces of the year, exceptionally brought together, during the months of October and November.
Honored by this award, CHANEL has recognized the combination of exceptional skills that have always been at the heart of its creative process.
