From June 3, 2014 to September 23, 2014 is Fredi Casco’s exhibition at the Maison de l’Amérique latine.

This is a retrospective monographic exhibition conceived by the young curator Albertine de Galbert, to reveal to the French public the many facets of the Paraguayan artist Fredi Casco.
As a visual artist, sculptor, curator, publisher and film-maker, Albertine de Galbert bears witness to a Paraguayan history full of ghosts and demons. But also rich in traditional art, “popular and indigenous production”.

If this double event is an opportunity to discover Casco’s curious series ” The Fascination of Sirens “, made up of photographs, collages and cut-outs, and dealing with Stroessner’s dictatorship and its mundanities, it is also a chance to familiarize ourselves with South American artistic production.

One thing’s for sure: you’re going to travel.
