Jaeger-LeCoultre Portrait Session With Diane Kruger

A woman’s personality is exquisitely versatile. Unique, yet plural. Just like time. This time that gives rhythm to her daily life, stretching, accelerating or suspending its flight according to circumstances. In this, women reinvent themselves. That’s why Jaeger-LeCoultre is constantly renewing its creativity and pushing back the limits of its expertise. Echoing Diane Kruger’s encounter with the Manufacture in 2009, the film Reivent Yourself (libre se de réinventer) pays tribute to the actress’ personality. Director Fabien Berthaud, winner of the Prix de Françoise-Sagan in 2011, takes a look at the woman, her creativity and energy, embodied by Diane Kruger. The grace, cosmopolitan spirit and choices of the actress reflect the feminine world of Jaeger-LeCoultre: an uncompromising universe, whose beauty and refinement are echoed in each new challenge, each new desire for elsewhere, each beat of the mechanisms that drive the creations. Ballerina, model, actress, child, young girl, woman, Diane Kruger has always led every moment of her life with assurance and determination, continually reinventing herself without ever losing emotion, grace or elegance.

On this occasion, Jaeger-LeCoultre presents its new collection of haute joaillerie timepieces, which also celebrates 180 years of the Grande Maison’s history. The entirely pavé Reverso Cordonet Duetto model, on the wrist of Diane Kriuger, is sublimated by the Métiers Rares of the Grande Maison. This new high jewelry creation exalts the Duetto concept in a halo of over 1,250 diamonds. Inspired by a Jaeger-LeCoultre model from 1936, this jewel watch is a symphony of aesthetics and technology. Fully set, the Reverso Cordonnet Duetto embraces the wrist with its perfectly flowing bracelet. It’s quite a challenge to create a link of diamonds that is supposed to adjust smoothly to the curvature of the arm. The links, each paved with several diamonds, flexibly articulate their rounded silhouette borrowed from art deco.
