Audemars Piguet unveils the Royal Oak Offshore Michael Schumacher Chronograph
Audemars Piguet, the Swiss watch manufacturer based in Le Brassus, has just celebrated the world premiere of the limited edition Royal Oak Offshore Michael Schumacher Chronograph at Berlin’s Kraftwerk building, in the company of Michael Schumacher and other prestigious guests.
In addition to the famous Formula 1 driver and Audemars Piguet Marketing Director Tim Sayler, the event attracted a number of internationally renowned guests including stylists Jette Joop and Anna von Griesheim, photographer Tom Lemke, singer Nadja Michael and several German celebrities including model Alessandra Pocher, actress Cosma Shiva Hagen, TV presenter Annabelle Mandeng and art collector Christian Boros.
To celebrate the launch of Audemars Piguet’s new timepiece, the raw industrial decor of the Kraftwerk was specially transformed for the evening. On the first floor, a reception area separated from the rest of the room by a light installation was set up for the welcome cocktail, after which guests moved upstairs for dinner. During the meal, they were treated to a visual animation retracing the history of two worlds, watchmaking and motor racing, whose happy marriage gave birth to the Royal Oak Offshore Michael Schumacher Chronograph.
To mark the release of this limited edition, Audemars Piguet is pleased to unveil the 3rd video in the Defining Moments series. In it, Michael Schumacher talks about his beginnings, his journey through the world of motorsport and the turning point in his career.
