48h Maisons de Mode, here we go again!
October 12/13/14, 2012
Gare Saint Sauveur (Lille)

For the fourth year running, Lille is hosting a major fashion festival on October 12, 13 and 14. Following in the footsteps of the great fashion capitals, the Lille Metropolis is putting fashion in the spotlight for a long weekend, with an event that is unique in France in that it is open to the general public (15,000 people last year).

The 48h. Maisons de Mode takes place at the Gare Saint Sauveur, an emblematic cultural venue in the city of Lille.

During this fashion marathon, the Maisons de Mode association will once again demonstrate that fashion can break out of its elitist straitjacket and reach out to as many people as possible, while highlighting the autumn-winter 2012/13 collections (clothing and accessories) of some thirty young emerging brands supported by the Label Maisons de Mode.

Program:
Friday, October 12:
Two fashion shows orchestrated by Guillaume Joveneau – La Couturière at 5 p.m. (general public and no reservation required)
La Générale at 8 p.m. (reservation required) followed by a Kiss The Girl DJ set.

Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14 (2 pm to 7 pm):
A wide range of fashion-related events for the general public will be held around the pop-up stores of Maisons de Mode designers and an accessories market.
Custom Bar hosted by Maisons de Mode designers (the public comes with clothes that will be customized live)
Atelier des Petits Stylistes, a life-size workshop for little ones run by Esmod International Roubaix students and teachers in partnership with Picwic.
Ephemeral tattoo bar with Carishna
Makeover bar brought to you by Julie Vous Aime
Make-up bar brought to you by Acte Académie
Cinémode (documentaries on great designers) with Heure Exquise
Photo Call for the general public by Eliz Dream, renowned photographer and stylist
As part of the 48h, on Saturday 13th, IMM Bruxelles, a modeling agency and partner of Maisons de Mode, will be holding its casting session in Lille, following on from Brussels and Antwerp, to find the talent of tomorrow.
Finally, the inevitable “glam run” (4th edition), a race in stilettos open to girls and boys, will be held on the forecourt of the Gare Saint Sauveur on Sunday October 14 at 4pm.

To keep up with the times, the shows and events at the 48 h Maisons de Mode will be influenced by the “FANTASTIC” theme, to tie in with Lille3000’s cultural season (October 2012-January 2013).

An event in partnership with: Ville de Lille, Lille 3000, Lille Métropole Communauté Urbaine, Conseil Régional, Conseil Général, Ville de Roubaix, Acte Academie, Prêt-à-porter Paris, La Fédération Française du prêt-à-porter féminin, ELLE, Etsy, IMM, Virgin Radio, Printemps Lille, Esmod International, Salons Philippe Gonay, À Nous Lille, Picwic.
