Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hublot, and Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, welcomed Usain Bolt, living legend of sprinting and ambassador of the brand, to a private party not far from Lake Geneva in Switzerland.
The afternoon began in the air: aboard a private helicopter, Usain Bolt flew over the Vaud Alps and discovered the authentic panoramas of Switzerland. It was aboard this same helicopter that he arrived at Jean-Claude Biver’s home, where the Hublot team was eagerly awaiting him to celebrate his incredible performances in London, as well as his 26th birthday. Usain Bolt was presented with a highly original cake made by the Swiss chef of the Restaurant de l’Hotel de Ville in Crissier/Lausanne, Benoit Viollier.
To crown the event and congratulate Usain Bolt on his recent victories, Hublot presented the sprinter with a unique gift: a King Power Unico All Carbon, featuring a custom caseback.
The man nicknamed “the lightning bolt” happily flaunted his three gold medals in front of the entire Hublot team, and let guests enjoy his charisma and colorful personality, admiring his medals, taking photos and sharing memories with him.
“I had a lovely time with the Hublot team and was very touched by their gifts and warm welcome. It’s an honor to be part of this great family that has always supported me and believed in me,” said Usain Bolt.
“We were delighted to welcome legendary sprinter Usain Bolt today, and to celebrate his 26th birthday with him. It was a pleasure to share this special moment with him and to be able to congratulate him in person on his tremendous victories and gold medals… We wish him good luck in his upcoming races and a very happy birthday!” added Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of the Board, and Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot.
The party was an opportunity for the sprinter to take a break before his next competition… But the day was far from over for the champion, who had to climb back aboard his helicopter to return to the track! No rest for the winners! On Thursday August 23 in Lausanne, Usain Bolt will be taking part in his first athletics meeting since winning his three medals in London.
