Men’s jacket specialist eclectic dares a new essential this winter: fleece. This light, warm “sport” material is boldly used by the designer in a sartorial construction.
Supple materials meet ultra-constructed jackets and coats, like the Soft Coat in wool jersey over fleece. The Country Jacket and Grey Blazer, in wool knitwear, combine the feel of a winter sweater with the chic of an interlaced jacket.
This season, shape is also at the heart of innovation for eclectic, notably with the Overcoat, with its loose fit and raglan sleeves, in stark contrast to the rest of the brand’s wardrobe.Franck Malègue has once again reinvented the timeless, designing undeniably modernized classics.
Craftsmanship.
Each piece is handcrafted in the brand’s Italian workshops in Veneto. Inherited from the cultura sartoriale, garment archi- tecture is the keystone of the eclectic collections. Traditional interlining, scissor-cut fabrics and other treasures of craftsmanship give jackets and coats a solid, elegant structure. Eclectic’s minimalist jackets are short and tailored to suit individual styles, and can be worn mismatched.
Technology.
The eclectic concept is the adaptation of innovative textiles to the construction of hand-tailored jackets. To achieve this, the brand hijacks technical materials designed for extreme sports, automotive or military applications. A veritable re-engineering of the jacket was required to bring together traditional methods and new fibers – Cordura or thermo-regulating microfibers.
Craftsmanship and technology renew the potential of the tailored jacket. Thermicity, protection, insulation, comfort and resistance are the new eclectic functionalities that anticipate the future use of its pieces.
