A free, colorful collection pays tribute to fluidity, tactile sensations and bold chromatic suggestions. On a black background, the only figurative inspiration is the pink flamingo, but transfigured by a softly punkish, relaxed sensibility akin to the offbeat lyricism of Zandra Rhodes. In this landscape of quilted surfaces, pajama-like volumes, fringed shawls bursting with fuchsia or blurred yellow, the origami jewelry designed by Ornamento MTO bursts with gleaming metallicity. Asymmetrical cuts and paradoxical combinations of thick and very supple materials exalt a vibrant blend of softness and hardness that has accompanied Corrado’s design from the outset.
