Until July 15, 2011, the brand is launching its second capsule collection Genetic Visionaries Series 2: Estee, created in partnership with stylist to the stars and interior designer Estee Stanley and inspired by the star actresses of five cult films. Taking advantage of denim’s suppleness and technical resources, Estee Stanley combines feminine silhouettes in delavé denim with patinated nickel metal studs in destructured sur-mesure.
The ruched dress studded on the shoulder recalls the character of ” The Bride ” from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill , avenging the death of her husband on her wedding day in a very bloody fashion.
The cuffed pants evoke Mia in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction, and make her replay the famous scene where she dances the twist with a very fit Vincent Vega – John Travolta. Another fine strong-woman character played by Uma Thurman!
