Maitrepierre’s new Spring-Summer 2024 collection, entitled “Métamorphose”, is a poetic ode to evolution through the cycles of time. Inspired by the intrinsic repetition of cycles past, present and future, Maitrepierre explores the destiny of our generation and that of generations to come.
In a world where adaptability is becoming a daily requirement, this collection is an invitation to embrace change, evolve and adapt just as nature silently does. The designer weaves a dialogue between the codes of a nomadic society and the relics of the past, blending technical fabrics, old-fashioned pleats and sensual drapes with colorfully vibrant technological prints.
Maitrepierre’s commitment to sustainable fashion is clear. The brand uses recycled or discontinued materials, giving new life to what others consider waste. In this dreamy, fantasized future, a renewed harmony between man and nature is envisaged. Technology, far from being a disruptive element, would be the link that reconnects mankind with nature, creating a world where amplified man embodies the creatures of a new era.
Like a chrysalis opening to let a butterfly fly away, Maitrepierre’s “Métamorphose” SS24 collection envisions a future where humanity, liberated and ethereal, takes flight in a new form. The collection was unveiled in the prestigious setting of the Institut du Monde Arabe, a choice of venue that resonates with the theme of harmony between tradition and modernity. The creative team, led by casting director and stylist Sebastien Hernandez Bertrand, orchestrated a show that transcended time and space, letting fashion tell a story of evolution, hope and renewal.
