Ermanno Scervino loves research and experimentation. Each collection is a journey, a path that begins in the tailor's workshop, with the richness of old work and the desire to discover new languages.
Travel is also the inspiration for this Resort 2022 an exploration of colors, surfaces and shapes, contrasting different cultures, legends, customs and habits. A journey between the primitive and the sophisticated, the heavy and the light, the full and the empty, the historic and the futuristic.
The collection features eco-leather, suede coupled with jersey, ultra-fine jacquard knitwear, wool-skin jackets and down jackets. But there are also hand-woven wicker bags, embroidery, caps, irregular turquoise stones sewn onto felt hats and sandals, wide-fringed miniskirts in raw cotton, and cardigans. Dresses in colorful macramé or folkloric embroidery recall ceramics, carpets and Mediterranean island crafts, while tailored denim jackets look aged by seawater.
With Resort 2022, Ermanno Scervino tells the story of a woman of a woman, a young bohemian, in love with discovery and travel without destination and far from conditioning, but motivated by the search for beauty and her own femininity.
