The Armani Group is pleased to announce the new face for the EA7 Emporio Armani and Emporio Armani Underwear sports lines, Fabio Fognini, and this from January 2019. Former tennis player Flavia Pennetta, the only Italian to win the US Open and Fabio Fognini’s wife, will also appear in some campaign shots.
Fognini, with eight ATP singles titles won by Italian players in the Open era, will be dressed in EA7 Emporio Armani on the courts from January 7. This will be the first date of the Auckland Open tournament in New Zealand, which will be followed throughout the year by the Australian Open, the Davis Cup, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open.
Technical outfits include functional t-shirts and shorts – one in green and grey and the other in grey graphic patterns; an additional tennis polo and shorts in blue complete the wardrobe. The outfits are designed to support sporting performance. VENTUS technology, with its innovative body-temperature regulating system and abrasion-resistant finishes, meets the expectations of tennis players playing both indoors and out. The silhouettes are inspired by the EA7 summer collection and are complemented by wristbands, visors, socks and hoodies in French Terry cotton.
The shots, by Serge Guerand for the Emporio Armani Underwear and EA7 Emporio Armani campaigns, depict Fabio Fognini and Flavia Pennetta against a neutral white background, highlighting their physicality and athletic dynamism.
