In today’s climate of conflict and anxiety, one of the most important contributions of contemporary fashion is a sense of comfort and the expression of something romantic and pure.
Light, comfortable-to-the-touch materials make women feel confident. These qualities are a tactile and visual thread that runs through the new collection.
The silky softness of the compact jersey creates a harmonious contrast with the crisp viscose twill and sheer silk organza.
These different textures are used to sculptural effect, as in the pure viscose dress, which is skilfully draped and gathered to recall the classic line of Persephone’s dress. New hood sleeves enhance shoulders, pleats create dynamic movement and flowing silhouettes indicate multi-dimensional aspects of the modern woman’s inner life, which are further indicated by color and pattern.
Soft, pastel tones such as light blue, soft pink and nude beige convey a romantic delicacy that offers an interesting contrast to the more vibrant, evocative yellows, violets and reds. Prints that remind us of dancing lightly on the surface of water, combined with translucent organza, complete the unique look of the new CYCLAS collection.
