At Paris Fashion Week, Coppélia Pique unveiled its new Spring-Summer 2017 ready-to-wear collection M(essie-R) 87, a collection featuring Coppélia Pique basics in a masculine/feminine wardrobe.

Inspired by the world of words from the title’s genesis, the Spring-Summer 2017 collection

Coppélia Pique is a socio-political metaphor for a futuristic ecological utopia.
Clothing, in the form of the winged goddess of the Victory of Samothrace, embodies the diversity of possibilities. The universality advocated by the presence of feminine attributes mingled with imposing strength, contributes to the transversality of genres and creation.

The balance between modernity and refinement is embodied by volumes and rhythms, as well as by techniques that create new visual effects, such as levitation, trompe-l’œil, light effects and pleating. The silhouettes seem to defy the laws of gravity.

The most architectural pieces literally come to life in movement, with openings and draperies that master the material.

The highly structured cross-sections and concave shapes evoke the greatest source of creative energy through annihilation, from which super-massive vortexes originate, the as yet unknown forces
by which stars and constellations are born and die.

The colors oscillate in spatial chiaroscuro, tone-on-tone cameos, electrified by indigo blue, dark red and touches of metallic.

Fluid materials, jersey, wool and coated cotton symbolize our earthly extraction, while waterproof technical fabrics from the sportswear world and metallic finishes evoke our propensity to turn to the sciences, approaching the construction of celestial objects.
