For summer 2017, Cacharel presented a very modern collection created by young designers in materials and manufactures of exceptional quality. It is distributed in corners in city-center department stores, selective multi-brand boutiques and in Cacharel boutiques. Single-brand boutiques will only be developed in city centers.

Cacharel has just opened its brand new boutique designed by Jean Nouvel, who will also design the concept for 4 new boutiques in France. The openings are scheduled for Lille, Marseille, Strasbourg and Nîmes by October 2016.

Jean Nouvel Design signs new concept for Cacharel boutiques in France
After many years, the French fashion brand is reinvesting city centers with single-brand boutiques. Jean Bousquet, Founder and President of Cacharel, entrusted Jean Nouvel Design with the mission of imagining the concept of these showcases, which will open in the 2nd half of 2016.
First opened to the public last July, in the heart of Paris, in the legendary Saint-Germain- des-Prés district. A 140 m2, two-storey space on the corner of the boulevard and rue de Buci, where Jean Nouvel Design has created a highly graphic layout blending geometric lines and artistic motifs.
From the street, the eye is drawn to the specially created motif inspired by Impressionist paintings. On the ground floor, it runs along a large 13-metre backlit wall, continues behind the staircase, and finally turns around to cover the entire ceiling on the second floor. Here, lightboxes dressed in the same pattern stand out from the ceiling, creating bursts of intense color.
On the floor, large slabs of natural oak give rhythm and complexity to the space.
Custom-designed, monolithic volumes of wood fit into the geometry of the floor, serving as storage and display units. The rods incorporate a lighting system for clothes, as well as a second directional lighting system to illuminate walls and ceilings.
