For spring/summer 2016, G-Star by Marc Newson continues to establish itself as a cornerstone in every modern wardrobe. Marked by a mix of American sportswear and Euro/Japanese streetwear, this season’s collection subtly incorporates touches of leather, which can be found both on new models and on the line’s characteristic Japanese denim.
The classic Newson Coach jacket is back with a new look. Recognizable by its unusual architectural structure (the visible signature of an industrial designer in the making), it is offered this season in a variety of fabrics and interpretations: in a reversible nylon version with piped leather seams, in a very streamlined version in a dense, straight-woven twill ( 7 Day Calvary, an indestructible fabric weighing around 330 gr.), in a crumpled version in a very light Guard twill.
Inspired by uniforms, Newson offers pants to match each version of the classic Newson Coach jacket. This season, he launches a new 7/8th-length Chino model, available in dense, straight-woven twill(7 Day Calvary) and crinkled twill (Guard).

The premium capsule collection presents a new mini-range of 5-pocket jeans revisited by Newson: 5-Pocket Denim Slim. With their square back pockets, these jeans give way to color: in full-tone light blue, beige and white, and cut from exceptional WaterDenim (a 14.6 oz. selvedge denim woven in Japan on shuttle looms). The range is completed by t-shirts, 3/4-sleeve tops and sweatshirts in flamed and premium tech jersey. The tops feature the collection’s emblematic graphic script, collected by Newson fans: this season’s Rain Storm print. |
