Ever more sophisticated service for ever greater luxury: after suits, shirts and dresses, Dior is now turning its attention to footwear. Its “Made to order” service extends the excellence of its workshops to top-of-the-range shoes: here, a classic model, a timeless wardrobe staple graded in 3 colors. The François Ier derby, one of the house’s iconic models.

Absolute comfort, made possible by tailor-made products. The company pays close attention to its customers’ needs. Guided by an advisor, they remain masters of their own choices, which will be fulfilled only after expert craftsmanship. Kris Van Assche, artistic director of Dior Homme, chose Goodyear consu for the occasion, with a patina finish in red, cognac or blue.

Setting a new course in luxury: this is what the House of Dior is doing by rehabilitating a service that has been forgotten. And yet, before clothes, shoes and handbags were produced in large quantities, they were the product of a design process in which a specialist craftsman took charge of various operations at every stage. Always in close collaboration with the customer, the shoe is built, little by little, taking shape and developing… a high-end gestation period. The wait: long indeed. But isn’t the result worth the wait?

After all, desire is born of expectation. So, to define today’s luxury, let’s talk about a return to a forgotten savoir-faire, offering unique models, handcrafted with a care that takes time, time during which all the customer’s impatience is worked on. The impatience that brings us back to waiting for Christmas, after devouring the first chocolate in the calendar. Or waiting – modern waiting – for the release of a new season of a TV series.

A selection of 23 boutiques around the world will give you a taste of a delicious wait: 4 to 5 months.
