Roger Vadim and Bardot, long azure beaches, a cocktail at Sénéquier, nights dancing the “chacha”. More than a film set, or a billionaire’s utopia, St Tropez is real. It’s a reality built on dreams, furtive apparitions of famous figures and blazing suns. An invitation to dream, everyone has their own story about St Tropez. It’s the same with the great houses. Everyone has an imagination, a tale, that deserves to be told.
When two legends come together, the dream is beyond comprehension. For five years now, Dior has been breathing new life into a building built in the 18th century, a very special era for Christian Dior. The light tones of the walls, the choice of coffee tables, the design of the chandeliers, the portraits on the walls: everything bears the trace of the spirit of Christian Dior. Between the palm trees and the noble walls, the place evokes the past, but doesn’t fall into the nostalgic pathos of a bygone era.

In the guise of contemporary Chinese artist Yan Pei Ming, Chrisitian Dior takes a benevolent look at his descendants. Raf Simons, known for his minimalist style, took over the creative direction of the house in 2012, and quickly appropriated the classics that underpin the house’s identity.
It’s about architecture, not decoration. It’s in this same spirit that the menu created by three-starred chef Yannick Alleno is created. In the boutique’s gardens, the Dior des lices restaurant, shaded from the hustle and bustle of summer, blends food and students into light gourmet dishes. Real Dioresque treats before slipping on a Dior creation.
It’s not shopping, it’s a new way of buying, detached from exhilarating conventions. It’s a stroll through refined places and the history of a house: you’re no longer customers, but actors: Dior actors.
Simple, uncluttered: it’s always unpretentious when it comes to luxury and the finest things. The heat is already stifling enough, but architect Peter Marino has lightened the mood with his leather goods, jewelry and ready-to-wear by Ralf Simons.
