You’ve been sailing all summer, strolling along turquoise beaches, or plying the roads for exotic road-trips: extend the adventure. September is far too sad, a return to everyday life, a disenchantment, too brutal. Marseille knows this, Marseille saves you and organizes the electro festival of the autumn. A last breath of summer before returning to work, job, internship, course: before falling back into routine.
See the sea one last time, under neon lights and to the sounds of the best mixes. That’s the promise of the Acontraluz festival, taking place on September 3, 4 and 5, from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. on the J4 esplanade.
This is only its second edition, but quality is not measured in years: the cutting-edge programming, full of discoveries, makes this event something of an ecléctique. So imagine yourself in the midst of festival-goers who, more than just a taste for music, love to discover new things: discover that band that will soon be downloaded on all platforms and whose sounds will be used in the biggest commercials.
More than just music, this festival recreates a real universe, worthy of the legendary Californian festivals (from Woodstock to Coachella), with tattoo stands, fluorescent body painting, cocktail bars and “do it yourself” stands where you can remodel your sneakers and t-shirts to make them unique.
As the world slowly awakens to the promise of summer, the program unveils young talents such as English duo Bondax and Australian duo Flight Facilities, as well as new names on the electro scene such as Recondite and DJ Koze, who make you want to prolong your vacation memories.
What better way to take a last breath of fresh air than in an open-air club!
