This week, Luxsure discovered the G-Star novelties for next autumn.
We got a sneak preview of the materials used in the forthcoming collaboration with singer and producer Pharrell Williams: they are made from recycled cotton yarn and plastic thread from marine waste, also recycled. An interesting initiative that augurs the future of our clothes, to be discovered from September at G-Star!
For this Fall’s collection, G-Star wanted to play with superimpositions, both on a single piece and with several garments. For both Men’s and Women’s, there are layered pieces for casual yet elegant looks. Denim is, of course, an integral part of the collection, in yokes, coats, jackets and even shirts. For this winter, the emphasis is on thick, highly-worked denim that will keep you warm.
G-Star also worked with yokes; whether in leather, denim, cotton or even velvet, they lend a geometric edge and structure the garment for a sophisticated look. Texture is also in the spotlight, with cut-out denim, deliberately distressed denim and three-dimensional knits. Camouflage prints are featured in the Raw Cargo collection, in discreet, all-purpose tones.
A collection of simplicity that stays true to the brand’s essence of denim, with well-crafted pieces and effective prints. The tones remain dark but lend elegance to the whole. A G-Star piece is appreciated for its quality and intelligent cut!
