Costume jewelry brand Satellite has just opened a new boutique in Paris. The new universe, located at 10 rue du Vieux Colombier in the 6th arrondissement, redefines the brand’s identity.
This French brand was created in 1986. Sandrine Dulon, an ethnologist, and Daniel Ouaki, a photographer, set off to discover the world. Through their travels in America, Asia and Southern Europe, they collected jewelry, stones and objects. With these souvenirs, they decided to create their own jewelry brand at the crossroads of art and travel. Their first collection is spotted by ELLE magazine. The adventure began, and 25 years later, their collections are sold out in France and abroad.
This new boutique plays on an intimate, mysterious atmosphere thanks to the use of wood panelling and mirrors. A very elegant boutique, dressed in black like a jewel case. This universe was designed by architect Gwénaëlle Grandjean. She drew her inspiration from the codes of 17th-century cabinets of curiosities. Satellite stands out for its originality. In fact, the store displays only part of its collections. You have to open the cabinets to discover hidden treasures. With its new logo, Satellite invites us to travel and discover the world through elegant, refined jewelry. Designer Sandrine Dulon sums up the brand’s universe as follows: “The base is firmly anchored in the world’s cultural richness; but the head is resolutely in the stars”.
“It’s all in the details”, the company’s motto, underlines the craftsmen’s investment in each piece of jewelry. Each piece has a story to tell, and has been carefully and meticulously assembled by hand. Every season, Satellite renews its collection like a ready-to-wear brand to conquer and surprise us. Raw materials are sourced from the four corners of the globe, from Bohemian crystal to Chinese mother-of-pearl. And the combinations are audacious: semi-precious stones rub shoulders with seed pearls, feathers, lace or velvet ribbons.
